When a well point system can't lower the water table far enough — or when your excavation is simply too deep — a deep well dewatering system is the right solution. Rover Industry LLC S.P supplies deep well dewatering equipment and expertise to construction and infrastructure projects across the UAE, tackling even the most challenging groundwater conditions.
Deep well dewatering involves drilling or installing large-diameter boreholes (wells) around the excavation perimeter, each equipped with a submersible pump. The wells typically penetrate below the excavation base, intercepting groundwater at depth and drawing it down before it can enter the work area.
Unlike well point systems, which are limited to approximately 5–6 metres of suction lift, deep well systems can lower water tables by 15, 20, or even 30 metres — making them essential for metro stations, deep basements, major bridge foundations, and large tunnel works.
The UAE presents specific deep well dewatering challenges. Coastal areas around Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah often have shallow, highly transmissive aquifers influenced by tidal fluctuations. Deep infrastructure projects like metro extensions, underground highways, and major utility tunnels must manage significant groundwater pressures.
Additionally, UAE groundwater is typically saline or brackish, which requires pump materials and seals compatible with corrosive water — a specification Rover Industry's engineers account for in every project.
Deep well dewatering requires proper hydrogeological assessment and system design. Our experienced team can advise on well spacing, pump sizing, discharge management, and groundwater monitoring to ensure your dewatering system meets both project and regulatory requirements.
